Both accommodations are identical in every way! Both are equally beautiful, with breathtaking river and mountain views. Whichever you choose, you’ll experience the same serene luxury.

Jarabin is approx. 3 ½ hours from Sydney, 1 ½ hours from Canberra, 40 mins from Yass, and about 20 mins from the village of Bookham.

It is 2WD accessible in all weather conditions and the dirt road is all part of the adventure and sense of escape. Exact details of how to get there are emailed to you before your stay but if you have any questions regarding access, feel free to get in touch.
(Please note that whilst there are no issues for most 2WD vehicles driving the road, we do not accept any responsibility if you do not wish to drive and will not cover any resultant transport costs).

In the evenings, sit back with your favourite drink and gaze at the stars - there is absolutely no light pollution here! Check out Activities at Jarabin and Discover the Region pages on the website for more information.

Our whole philosophy is to leave this place better than how we found it. We are focused on pasture improvement, with no soil tilling so that the carbons in soils remains untouched. We also employ rotational grazing techniques, meaning our cattle move about different paddocks throughout the year, allowing soils and grasses to regenerate. Also, we minimise any chemical use on our farm to ensure the ongoing health of the land and rivers on which we live and share. Click here for more information about Sustainability at Jarabin.

Check-in is at 2pm, and Check-out is at 10am.

Just like anywhere else, wind, rain and storms happen at Jarabin. Rest assured that our accommodations are all built to Australian standards and thoughtfully located on our property. The soon-to-arrive glamping accommodations will be located on higher ground (for amazing views), so it can be windy, but that is out of our control. The accommodations are incredibly sturdy and have been reinforced to withstand cyclonic winds (which luckily, we have never experienced in our area).
Remember, if it storms, take that as an opportunity to snuggle up in front of the fire in winter or watch the rain with a drink in hand and wait for it to pass by.
(Please note that, as you can appreciate, we do not accept any responsibility for any effect on your stay due to adverse weather).

By choosing to light a fire you accept the responsibility to comply with all fire regulations and for mitigating any risks to dwellings, property, people and animals. For more details, please see our Terms & Conditions.

There’s always plenty for your stay. We have set up each site so you can come with minimal fuss and leave with maximum happiness. The powerpoints we have installed are good to charge small items like phones and laptops, but please leave large appliances at home. The BBQ runs off a gas bottle which is regularly checked.
-
The rooms have amazing cross ventilation but if aircon is more your style, there are reverse cycle units in the cabins. For the colder months, we have a wood log burner which will be already lit and waiting for your arrival.
-
Go for it! Please have a look at the map on the website for all the walking trails and things to see and do. (Please do remember to leave the gates as you found them. If they’re open leave them open and if they’re shut, please remember to shut them again behind you).
Please always remember to take care and please always abide by our T&Cs.

This is the Aussie bush and the onus ultimately, is on you when it comes to keeping safe. Rule of thumb – the animals like their privacy just as much as you do and are happy to be left alone. In the drier seasons, beware of snakes. You’ll definitely see cattle but they’re usually not bothered and will just move away or stand and stare at you. There is so much birdlife, with hundreds of species for you to sit back and listen to.
