Hiking/ Self-guided Nature Walks
Download the online map and go for a hike to the top of Ponds Mountain, the tallest mountain in the area, and enjoy the stunning 360 degree views!
Fishing
Take a spot along the river bank, get out your rod and catch some fish. The Murrumbidgee is known for its Murray Cod, Golden Perch (Yellow Belly), Trout and Crayfish).
Horse Riding
BYO Horse and take a slow trail up to Ponds Mountain. Take a packed lunch and enjoy the amazing views.
Kayaking
Use the Jarabin kayaks and glide across the soothing waters of the Murrumbidgee.
Paddleboarding
Use the Jarabin paddleboards and enjoy the gentle rhythm of the clear river waters.
Farm Experiences
See a real working cattle farm in operation. If you happen to be staying while we’re doing cattle work (it could be herding or drafting cattle), you are welcome to join in the experience.
Cultural Connections - Rare Indigenous landmarks
Be sure to marvel at the rare double-ring tree that is situated on the riverfront, an historic and important aboriginal cultural landmark.
Birdwatching
We are lucky enough to be the home of some beautiful and some endangered, species of birds. Bring your bird guide-book and see which ones you can spot.
Nature Watching
We are so fortunate to be home to some amazing Australian native wildlife - kangaroos, wallabies, wombats, platypus, possums and so many other beautiful fauna. (Watch and enjoy but please do not approach, feed or touch).
Stargazing
At night, the star-filled skies of our piece of paradise open up to offer you a celestial masterpiece where you can spot a series of constellations.
