If you really want to leave your luxe accommodation and go exploring then there are a number of things to see and do in the Yass Valley and surrounds, (a full list can be found here).

Here are some of our favourites (we are driven by good food and wine)!

Food and Drink:

The Sir George Hotel, Jugiong – a beautifully restored 1800s pub serving delicious food. While you are here, pop next door to the Long Track Pantry, a rustic café and shop offering fine local fare, and then two more doors down to the Jugiong Wine Cellar, which offers an assortment of local boutique wines.

Yazz Bar, Yass - an eclectic wine and jazz bar in Yass, serving yummy tapas style food and live music. A great place to spend an evening.

Clementine Bakery, Yass – a delicious five star artisan bakery!  Take a seat out front and take in the life of a country town or take it back to your luxe accommodation at Jarabin to enjoy while listening to the river and birdlife.

See and Do:

Binalong - a quintessential Australian village and the town where Banjo Patterson went to school.  Approximately 40 minutes drive from Jarabin, make sure you time your stay to coincide with the monthly Binalong community markets.  

Burrinjuck Dam – a heritage listed major hydro electric dam situated on a beautiful reserve where you can enjoy time on or by the water.  It is a lovely drive and is fed by the same river that flows by our property, the Murrumbidgee!
